A Christmas poem.

If Christmas doesn’t come this year I don’t know what I’ll do

I’ve hung up all the stockings after using the glitter and glue

Mistletoe hung at every door, especially for you

A smile’s all I need right now for a push to make it through

Over a hundred ornaments and counting, and they all look like new

All of them hanging from the tree with a little help from you.

We baked all the cookies and got the milk out too.

We’re ready for Santa, nothing more to do.

So to bed we go to sleep warm and tight

Hoping that sleigh stops here tonight

A shimmer of light hits my eye …

Wake up! It’s Christmas, time to fly

Get ready for presents and a home cooked meal

Family and friends, you know the deal.

This one time a year is my favorite of all

With the two feet of snow that I thought wouldn’t fall

Everything is perfect to everyone’s sight

Merry Christmas to all, and best of nights!
