Poem to a picture /photo of a husband and wife in later stages of life, standing happily together…

Image via Wikipedia

In our youth we did dance, to the blues and rock,

and oh how we romanced, many times around the clock…

We danced with flair and laughter, better than Olivia and Travolta,

we even sang beneath the moon, were always in tune…

I was an autumn bride, yeah we were baby boomers,

life’s been a wonderful ride, always been dreamers…

As the years rolled on, we were blessed with two boys,

taught them the same songs, they brought us many joys,

Now were at a new age, the good book is still the same,

just turn a new page, like starting over again…

We boogied in the sunshine, waltzed through the storms,

sang in the rain, and loved all the time…

Here we both stand, a happy woman and man,

there’s no secret to our life, were just a husband and wife……end

Marriage can be great if we keep that attitude. We may not be able to kick quite as high, but we have to keep kicking. :)
