Loving differences.
It started when someone pointed out i was different
it shattered my child innocence of loving people who were good
everyone told me to notice the differences
building a puzzle of complex hatred
that squeezes life from a broken neck
i had to dive into fear
i had to swim in that dirty water
i had to live part of that sub zero dream
my light grew dim
my countenance heavy
my eyes were closing
but something…
deep down inside
past that swirling pain of anguish
was that pinprick of hope
one day to know what dark was hiding from me
shhhhh!
found out the secret.
I was very quiet at first
like a baby opening eyes for the first time
the blur became clear vision
the silence became an audible sound
the grey became bright summer yellow
the summer yellow became a bright glowing light.
I forgive you
all of you.
For i know the secret
that all of us can have
and be part of the unbroken chain
of perfect differences
that makes the perfect whole
that loves unconditionally
that understands the roots of life
for now i breathe with a smile on my face
for now i am that Light
right now i truly live.
Do not fear
to understand yourself
to understand others
to dance that dance
to sing that song
to smile that smile
when some may laugh
not from the heart
others will give you their hand
and share the secret.
I have something to share with you…
