A cute puppy finds a home, but is it good?
I am a happy puppy,
bouncing all around,
other pups are by my side,
my mom is black and brown.
Now we are in the Pet Store,
waiting on a sale,
behind the glass window,
I sit and wag my tail.
First one goes,
Then another,
now it’s my turn,
to meet my brand new mother.
Wow, brand new home is scary,
I seem to make mistakes.
They have to spank me a lot
and say “That’s what it takes”.
To train a pup to go outside,
to be a good pet,
I guess I shouldn’t have chewed that toy,
they seem a bit upset.
I am home alone much of the time
bored, I look for things to do.
With nothing else to chew on,
Yup, that shoe will do.
I really want to go for a walk
but apparently I am too strong,
is it really all my fault
I do everything wrong?
I guess I got too big
to live inside the home,
I am outside now all the time
usually left alone.
I have nothing to do,
so I kind of like to dig,
they do not like that much,
and hit me with a twig.
So they tie me with a chain
in the middle of the yard,
as they call out to remind me
“You are a bad dog.”.
Then one day came,
it was dark and getting late
they took me for a car ride,
perhaps a twist of fate?
To a place they took me
and tied me there all night,
The morning found me,
I would be alright.
Put in a cage
I am marked as a stray.
If nobody comes to get me,
I shall be put away.
I am such a happy puppy…
