I have been thinking about life and other things and then came up with this.
there are people a lot worse off than what you and I are.

 I am a lucky person,

Though I have my problems,

my faults and a horrible disease

that will not beat me,

yet it will never leave me either,

its just one I have to learn to live with

which in time I’m sure I will

*

I’m still a lucky person,

as I have a wonderful family,

That loves me true,

A son that can drive me utterly insane though,

when he gets in one of his moods,

But he is a teenager through and through.

I would not have him any other way.

As I love his little young ways.

Even though he drives me insane.

*

Still I am a lucky person

as I have some wonderful friends,

That help me when I am down

A shoulder for me to cry on,

and mine for them too.

They let me be who I am,

without changing my ways,

They make me strong,

and make me laugh,

drive me nuts too.

*

Still I am a lucky person

as I have some special,

on-line friends, that talk to me,

for hours on end, let me moan

and groan though they don’t really know me.

Like I don’t them but we are still there

for each to share our good times,

also our bad ones too.

*

Still I am a lucky person,

as many people, do not have

what I have got.

Which is a good loving family,

some wonderful true friends,

and special on-line friends too

Also they do not have my son,

who has brought me lots joy.

*

So despite, my skin disease,

The pain of the arthritis,

and other things too.

I sill have so many things

to be grateful for so I am

A lucky person!

*

It’s good to be able to feel lucky in spite of everything else. It’s a good habit to cultivate.

I agree with you and I feel that way most of the time too. You have expressed your feelings beautifully in this poem. Well done.

I like your positive spirit and that you are looking at the bright side of things. May your glass always be half full.

Isaiah 33:24 (King James Version) “And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.”
