It’s a word-play–on the relationship between Self and God. The writing comes from a moment of self realization and affirmation or something like that all.
I am me,
No natter how my hair is cut.
I am me,
No matter what.
I am me,
On days ending in “y”
I am me.
When I cry.
I am me,
When I don’t know Love.
I am me,
With eyes from above.
I am me,
When I can’t breathe.
I am me,
When I have Need.
I am me,
When I doubt.
I am me,
When I believe.
I am me,
When I achieve.
There might be much I do not know
or do not concieve.
I Am, Me
