Every single day I’m blessed
In no less than ten ways
First with my seven cats
Then we’re always blessed when allowed new days.

I’m blessed then to be able to get out of bed
To be able to walk on my own
To live and love and laugh each day
With beautiful memories through the years I’ve grown.

I also still have all my senses
I’m happy with who I am
Plus every day that I’m allowed
Brings me closer to my big grand slam.

But the main reason I started to write these words
Are the blessings my seven cats bring
They are the seven best blessings, of my every day
As their love for me is everlasting.

Twenty minutes or so ago I sat on the edge of my bed
I have these tunnels that I put all around
They played for a bit making me laugh real hard
Then crashed all around me without another sound.

It was then joyous to look around from one to another
Seven circles curled on the floor
Each one making me smile a mile
Again and again thinking back, on their behavior.

Now that I’ve moved though
They are all back up
And I suppose it’s because
It’s actually time for sup.

So now they’re eating, all in a row
As I sit gloatingly, just watching them
And again they’ve made me smile many times
My seven wonderful, sweet and handsome men.

It is a little later now
Everyone’s bath is done
And we have shared an hour or more
Just having a little more, loving fun.

Now watching them as they sleep again
Of course, all near by
I think I’ll do a little more work
Or at least I’ll give it a try.

Or maybe I’ll just sit here
Watching them for awhile
For as I sit here now
On my face I feel a great big smile.

And as I glance around at them all
One sweet little kitten at a time
I think if I didn’t have them
It would surely be a crime.

For every moment I recall
That included them today
Made me laugh and smile alot
Bringing lots more joy my way.

So, see, every day I’m very blessed
With these seven little guys that I love
For the only way they could be so great
Is if they were sent to me from up above.
