Something has gone wrong somewhere
Hate has engulfed some once dear;
The meanness of mankind shows its color
Servitude becomes the reward of valor;
Love and War are no more the earlier same
New moves have adulterated the old game;
Should I say: I am yours and you are mine
Is this what  was ordained by the Divine?
Be it so but who cares for the olden word
Gone is the shepherd with his herd;
Lust and greed is the custom of the day
We are together yet mostly at bay;
What was once a peaceful world
Human greed into Hell has hurled.
