I enjoy writing story songs like this one and hope to come up with more of such that have meaningful life lessons to teach a lifetime………………..lol!
I CALL MY SHOTS IN GOOD TIME……(one fine story song of mine).
Chorus:I call my shots in good time
In good time,God is my judge
Come one and all in sweet prime
In sweet prime,goodwill I budge
First Verse:The clouds were full of rage in the
heat of that day
The townhall was filled all age men,
women and children at bay
Many tried to stop John Cooper from
cocking his evil gun
Only to realise in wonder he will not
listen to anyone
With a good aim he shot his own son by accident
The real target among the lot was someone so innocent
Whose daddy just looked on humming his heartcry to God
Oh dear Lord hear my plea my son is out this one is odd
(Repeat chorus………………………………………..)
Second Verse:A crime committed in the backyard
of John Cooper Demarus
Will not have been the trumpcard
of discussion in Belarus
Sometimes it’s good to let go and
let right take it’s own course
Tommy Lee Johnston pleaded no
that the verdict was by force
In the midst of this confusion Cooper’s son was on a flight
Running away from his misdeeds at broad daylight
With his back against persuasion by a massive shootout
He gunned down his only son in a fatal route
(Repeat chorus………………………………………..)
Footnote:I enjoy writing story songs like this one and hope to come up with more of such that have meaningful life lessons to teach a lifetime………………..lol!
