The emotions we are faced with whenever we reminesce around the holiday season.

After Thanksgiving dinner, I feel blue;

For Christmas is on the horizon dancing in my view;

Supporting gifts of love and togetherness too;

I can’t face Christmas without missing  you.

Smell the evergreen trees draped in lights blinking fast,

I see the robotic figurines as I travel past,

With no school during the holidays children fill the street,

Walking in all the stores or on their mother’s feet.

With a 29 degree temperature no doubt the rain will freeze,

Some folks will run inside to escape this chilling breeze,

Still, retailers extend their hours until the final night;

Crying credit you are beautiful, please-cash sales to the right.

So solicitors fill the doorways praying on your good-wills;

I give to Salvation Army and use my Christmas Seals;

I’m sadden by this holiday or am I being true;

Since I can’t face Christmas without missing you.
