We are all subject to the divine love. It is not because we choose it or opt to accept it.
You did not expect it, nor saw it coming
But I opted you to be the target of my loving.
The emptiness inside, how oftentimes you’ve cried,
I know it when you’re hurt and wounded when they lied.
I always see your pain, I charge it on the rain.
You’re frightened by the storm, I made it go away.
You didn’t appreciate it, don’t worry it’s okay.
I wouldn’t have a grudge, I love you don’t you know?
I told the stars to shine and guide you on your way,
But you were lurking in the woods to stay away from me.
I called you by the thunder, you answered with a scowl.
I guessed you can’t remember the father where you from.
I always watch you and touch you when you sleep,
and though, it stinged my heart when you defy
to you I never closed an eye.
You blamed me all the miseries and tragedies on earth,
you said you’ll never praise me nor offer me a wreath.
You even curse my name in vain each time you lose a game.
You conquered your foes and rose to the top.
You said you’ve made it on your own, the credits are your alone.
But the harbor you built collapsed at once,
You beckoned your friends but no one would come.
Come on my son, everything’s done
I’ll carry you if you cannot stand.
You may not love me, but I love you.
You may not trust me, but I trusted you.
You don’t choose me but I chose you.
