A true story in poetic form…

Lost,
it’s what you feel from one relationship
to another..
Pieces of you die, rot,
then fall away..

You forget who you are..
You realize upon gazing through the looking glass
You aren’t who you use to be..
You don’t recognize your own persona.

We are taught to abide by the norm..
“Abide by the laws of the norm we must,
in perfect love, and perfect trust,
for if not, you shall turn to rust.”

So let it be!
I would rather rust then to follow a flock
of sheep.

I will accept all people,
in all forms, in all ways.
I refuse to live mechanically.

Be what you want to be!
do what you want to do!
but always be true to you!

Don’t let others tell you otherwise,
follow your fantasies,
rise above the angst and anxieties.

I however, have fallen into the folds
of what I once was..
I am accepted and loved..
comfort, liberation, and freedom
Embrace me!

Do not pray for me,
pity, cry,
or mercy me..
I am happy..

I only pray that one day
you find your own way.
Find the strength to seperate,
create your own niche.
