This poem is a testimonial of how I used to feel about myself, before discovering myself.

Is there a world beyond the clouds,

beyond the Earth, beyond the universe.

Some how, I think there is.

I am no part of the world.

I do not belong here.

Why am I here?

Is there another world beyond the sun,

beyond the moon,

beyond the stars. Maybe there is.

I don’t know for sure.

If there is another world,

inhabited by beings like me,

why can’t they take me to there world,

where I’ll fell I’ll belong.

Mercy me, I don’t know who I am.

I don’t know who I am to be.

I don’t know whether I’m human or alien.

All I know is, I do not belong here.

This was pretty much my life before i discovered that I have Asperger’s Syndrome. Most people with A.S. tend to feel this way. Even to this day, I still wonder if there is another world out there for us. Where people like us live and breathe and live in peace.
