My attempt at some blues.

Politician don’t have no
He don’t have no childhood
Politician don’t have no
He don’t get no childhood
Politician don’t have any kind of childhood
Just like I don’t have you

I tried to swim to my baby
Through this ocean of glue
I said I tried to swim to my lady
Through this ocean of glue
But my baby you ain’t nowhere to be seen
And now I don’t have you.

Roses are everywhere
And the violets are so blue
I said these roses are everywhere
And these violets are so damn blue
But not as blue as me baby
When I don’t have you

I can’t even tie my laces
I don’t have a clue
I can’t even bend down and tie these goddamn laces
Coz’ I don’t have a clue
I’d much rather be in your arms sugar
But I don’t have you.

Gloomy screen mocks at me
The news is never good
I said this gloomy tube looks down upon my sorry soul
This news is never ever good
There ain’t no such thing as good news honey
When I don’t have you.
