In the dark he came to me,

Brightening the starry night

A shimmer of light,

He lingered by my side

My voice failed to flow,

He spoke my words for me

My breath failed to escape,

He took breath for me

He sang a melodic tune,

Swallowing my essence

His voice drawing in my soul,

Washing me with joy

He sang of the seas,

And I drowned in his scent

He sang of the stars,

And I drifted in his eyes

I drifted in his lullaby,

And he slithered away

Becoming a memory

Of an angel in my dreams
