About returning to the same state of mind as once before.
I Have Been Here Before: By Niki Cook
She’s wondering through the darkness,
trying to find her way back home,
She can sense the silence,
in her world all alone,
Does anyone understand,
It’s only as hard as she makes it,
But she wants someone to reach out there hand,
It makes no difference,
She is standing on the outside looking in,
At everyone that surrounds her,
Feeling like she has walked away from
her best friend,
How can she face her father in heaven,
after all the foolish things that she has done,
She can’t run anymore,
It has been a while,
But she remembers this place from before,
You can’t hide from Jesus,
no matter how hard that you try,
All this time He was reaching,
She would just close her eyes,
Hoping He wasn’t watching,
While she stood on the other side,
He was fighting,
while she was crying,
I can’t do this anymore,
He was saying, “Child I have been here before”
So open your eyes, and take hold of victory,
I came to give you life more abundantly,
You can’t have it like your living,
There is a choice to make,
Walk away from sin, or it will follow you to your grave
