A son far from home.

This verse was inspired by Navy Mom

Where have I come, expectations are unknown
No friendly face for comfort, a heavy heart is shown
The hill is steep my load is heavy
I cannot see the top, my tears hold back by levy
I have not passed this way before

The dark has come, unheard sounds I hear
My courage stands beyond to jeer
What morning brings I face alone
My strength is tested, I can but heave and grown
I have not passed this way before

But worry fades and my fear abates
My rescue prayer is where a Mother waits
I have passed this way before
