A result of planning my day while having a shower. It is Saturday already here in New Zealand and the sun promises a wonderful day ahead. But first, I have things to do.

The Saturday morning sun shines strongly,

inviting me outside in the open.

But I have other things to do.

Saturday morning chores with the face

of housework, call loudly to me.

But I have other things to do.

Writing ideas flood my brain,

demanding to be written down.

But I have other things to do.

This morning I am sitting at my computer,

reading articles and poems,

catching up on what is currently occupying

the minds of my writing friends.

This morning, Saturday morning

I am reading and commenting

on the work of others.

This is my time to discover

what is happening

in the world of Triond.

Great poem. You are so lucky you have sun. We have 6 inches of snow and are expecting another snowstorm tomorrow.

It is Friday evening here in Southern Canada and I too have had a very busy day. I hope to get an article published I was working on this morning.

Now put down those other things and start writing! :)

I love Saturdays even if I still have work on this day since we’re on a six-day schedule. And although I also have other things to do, I can always squeeze in some time to view Triond.

Just Friday evening here and I have no idea what I will write about tomorrow. Saturday means nothing to me, being retired everyday seems like the weekend.

I am not retired, I am still on my first tired. I have been astounded at how fast my days go by even when I have no “real work” to do.

That is the problem encountered by lots of us Triond, writers, As if we are torn between to lovers. The love to put in words whats on our mind and the love to learn new things by reading our friends works. Just go for what task is scheduled for the day, Val.

Saturday is my favourite day of the week! And it has got off to a fine start by reading your poem :)

  • Christine Ramsay on Jan 15, 2011

We do get torn with all the demands life puts on us. I am finding it difficult to fit everything in at the moment. You have described these feelings so well.

Have a great day. I know how you feel. I am on the computer as I wait for my floors to dry. Then I have ironing to do and back to work on Monday. What I want to do is write.

A true friend makes times for others and you are a true Triond friend. Thank you for reading our work especially when “you have other things to do.”
