I have waited long

for you to arrive,

I have waited long

to feel alive…..

I have existed through hours

of shattered dreams,

when I played a turn

with life’s ravines….

I have danced to sounds

of empty tunes,

silent voices

from distant moons….

I have longed for a touch

to awaken my sleep,

it would come for a moment,

yet it just would not keep….

I was losing my values

of sense of pride,

as I needed someone

to fully confide….

Then I opened  my eyes

and saw you there,

knowing my moment

had come to share.
