A poem about the unique person and what interests us.
I hid a secret something
Deep down below
To keep my secret something
From where others go
When the lights are out
And the Hunter’s moon glows
Where rodents scurry about
And only heaven knows
My friends and I
Without a whisper
Exchange many formulae
From Mars to hither
How much only secrets know
And how little they enlighten
Where only the most sheltered go
Many hearts would frighten
But the outside of a shell
Is rough and uninviting
It’s not like the inside at all
Which can be reconciling
But a wolf, too wears a shield
When outside its furrow
In aggression it wields
Protection from below
The mighty king
And lowly thief
Equally sing
Or wallow in grief
In their shelters
Of mud or stone
Flags or remnants
House or home
Each from adversity
Each in culture
Hides secret symbology
From symbolic vultures
When I dug my secret something
From out of its hole
Instead of exposing everything
I found no one at all
