My Supervisor told me when I was first hired
That I would have a job up until the day I retire
The Next thing I turned around
And I saw what was happening to me
The Company was laying me off after 15 years
Without any pay and nothing to eat
I don’t know what to do until then
Because without Money
I will lose my house
And my Wife will go out
And find other men
It is sad with what is happening
To our Plant just because the Company
Said they could when all the time they knew they can’t
You know I’m not going to cry
Because I know I will somehow get by
I know what I’m going to do while Laid – Off
I’m going to use this time to improve at Golf
And find another job of course on the East Coast
