Poetry in Memory of Michael Jackson. The Loss of an icon.

Today I mourn
not because he is family or a friend
but because the life of an icon, just end
Just yesterday he amazed us with his quiet and gentle talk
A glide across the stage as he dazzled us with the grace of a moon walk
Unprecedented and often misinterpreted
Isolated, imitated, but never duplicated
Songs that make you feel his innermost pain
With lessons learned in life and only principles that we must gain
I mourn not because I feel that pain
but because of the symbols represented by his name
In a world where we know not the almighty plan
In the glimpse of that moment he was gone
Sad but true we loss another icon
I mourn not because
I am trying so hard to understand
But is there something to be learned from this lesson?
Another tear drop, another love song
We miss you …. Michael Jackson
