Facing a difficult situation.

I try real hard to resist,

but the urge has grown too strong.

I keep fighting this desire,

but you are difficult to resist.

How did I get into this situation?

No excuses can save me now.

How can I justify my actions?

I need delivery from this mess.

I expect you to call at anytime,

I dread hearing the phone ring.

I must make a decision soon,

but I’m afraid of the after effects.

I don’t want to leave you sad and lonely,

but can I deal with the guilty feeling?

What if I make a bad decision?

I’m really sorry, my love,

but I need a little more time.

Look before you leap is good advice. On the other hand, she who hesitates is lost. Rock and hard place syndrome.

I love how this poem has been beautifully architectured by you, Darla. It is a wonderful poem with a lot of thought into it.
