A nurturing friendship.

I planted a rose in his heart
I watered it everyday of my life.
I dug the soil to keep it soft
And waited for love to spring with hope.

Through love and care it grew,
A tiny bud its fruit.
My comfort’s the wind that blow
The basis of life, its root.

Shafts of sunlight to keep it glow
When darkness settled we embraced anew.
The tiny bud, opened and bloomed;
I found a true friend that I owned.
