The seven holy virtues.
Image via Wikipedia
I praise seven,
Not two nor eleven,
Only seven.
I stand true,
Never looking blue,
Always full of kindness.
I never put myself first,
Even over thirst,
I show no humility.
I embrace love,
Never push or shove,
Waiting with patience.
I watch and wait,
Tediously to date,
Full of diligence.
I’m even keeled,
Especially against my will,
Mindfulness is temperance.
I’m young and aware,
As long as you only stare,
I will remain abstinent.
I will top it off with lace,
By lighting up a child’s face,
Charity is the gift of grace.
I have sworn my life to this,
I will always stand true,
It was my grandmother’s wish.
