I read and I am transported

To other places, other times

I read and I am informed

Knowledge, skills for work and play

I read and I am entertained

For what is life without a smile?

I read and I am challenged

Faced with other views and philosophies

I read and I am bettered

And sometimes…

Well sometimes I just read
