Thoughts and emotions about people lost, expressed in the best way I know of; spilled onto paper.

In every sense of the word
Is looking back
Like you’ve stumbled and you’re looking back
At the ‘thing’ that tripped you
Stopped you in your tracks and made you pause
For a moment and just ‘look back’
Where you’re from or who you used to be
She would say, He would say and you would say
And we would all laugh, Cry
Sometime one sometimes the other
Sometimes both in no particular order
————————————————–
About how we lost a loved one
Bad timing, we would all agree
Had more to offer, we had more to give
To the soul that endured more pain than one
Unseen tears, proudly displayed smiles
These Endorphins are natural pain killers
Only if ‘recalling the past’ can
Bring back all its characters
On the condition that
The distance that separates
Can be measured in miles
——————————————-
Thoughts and pent up emotions
A tickle of any of the 5
Senses what was, before it was gone
Memories of last moments shared
Switch off and invoke her soul
A whiff of what she wore
Her Kiss and the strawberry aftertaste
She hugged and held the waist
Dark locks swayed with the wind
Can you hear her salsa beat footsteps?
As she danced away
