I’ve lost someone recently and wrote about it.

Staring into your eyes
I see nothing

Like a stranger
You look upon me

No longer my friend
Taken by life itself

Weeks of pain came to an abrupt end
The fire within burned for the last time

My love stands strong
But it is hopeless now

Staring into your eyes
I see nothing
Only Death

Why does it have to end with death… It’s heavy…! all the rest, I like it…!

I’ve never been good in making light poems, if you read mine there is only one on which I do not make a reference to death.

And after all, these eyes were the eyes of a dying one, so it’s logic it ends with death.

But thanks for the comment! I’ll try to make it somewhat more subtle for the next one!
