Poem of memories.

I can still remember…

things that you forgot,

things I wanted to forget,

best forgotten memories,

or memories that hold no meaning

to anyone but me.

A touch, a kiss, a look

that changed the world,

Faces of strangers,

words in a foreign language,

a sunset and a home.

A verse that touched my soul,

a melody without a song,

two lovers on a street,

my dying friend asleep.

The morning when we met,

the wars I fought,

my wounds, my loves and losses,

my happiness and my regret.

So many things that I cannot forget.

There’s depth in that last line, and its true. No matter how hard we try to forget, we cannot.I wish i had God’s Almighty eraser. I’d spend my time wiping off unwanted memories.
