[October 9 2008, Oracabessa Waterfront, St. Mary]
I swam with the fishes today
like a mafia corpse
decayed
and arose
renewed
in spirit and truth
a new man
a new don
child of the Holy One
and heir to the Kingdom,
twice returned prodigal
son
born-again again
christian,
anabaptist
church of england
anglican
episcopal
“welcome back home prodigal”
my father up in heaven says.
I swam with the fishes today.
