Another poem dedicated to the people who won’t shut up!

There’s nothing I want more than for you

To look me in the eye so I can say,

Once again, because I’ve said it before,

“Shut the hell up, okay?”

It’s unfathomable and silly

How long you can go

Without ever shutting up.

It makes me want to throw

Bricks and your face,

Pour cement down your throat,

Or do something drastic

Out of sheer hope

So maybe for once

You can listen to me.

It’s driving me crazy,

Don’t you see?

I wonder if you talk

This much in your sleep?

You must drive away

All the sheep

That people like me need

To count away

Because hearing your voice

Makes me want to slay

Hundreds of people

Or maybe just you.

I’m doubting that I could

Make it through

A single day

Without hearing your voice.

It’s such an unbearable,

Irritating noise.

So please, now I tell you,

ONE MORE TIME.

If you just listen to me,

I think I’ll be fine.

My sanity’s vanishing

Rather quick.

Just please shut up.

You’re making me sick.
