What children growing up without both parents and folks who Love those who do not Love use in return will always be stuck saying. Is that: "I waited for U."
I waited for U, hoping against hope.
That U would show up and hold me close.
I waited for U, praying to behold U’r face.
Freeing me and setting me free from this darkened place.
I waited for U, only because U said that U would come.
Sitting in the middle of the street in the rain, again alone without U.
I waited for U, many times but this time I fear.
U’ve left me alone in the street, drowning in tears.
I waited for U, wanting just the sweetest little kiss.
But I fear that U’ve showed me what U truly are and I feel totally dissed.
I waited for U, and again I am alone.
Wishing I were important enough for U to pick up the phone and call.
I waited for U, and I think that ends today.
I am sure that another would realize my worth and not treat me this way.
No matter what has gone on something that U’ll never be able to say.
Is that: “U waited for me and I left U standing alone in the rain.”
