My wife, children, friends, neighbors, and the nations around me will treasure my love.

Gardenia grown and pictured by Brian Stankich

I want to love.

I want to love my wife unconditionally -

proving that we are true partners in life,

leaving no doubt in her mind.

I want to love my children genuinely -

showing them the strength of a courageous man,

and a tenderness that their lives matter.

I want to love my friends truly -

giving them the grace they need to go on,

inspiring them to be themselves.

I want to love my neighbors honestly -

sharing with them my tools and my pantry,

living together in connectedness and harmony.

I want to love the nations around me -

sharing with them all that I have,

being enriched by their colors, flavors, and scents.

I want to love those around me with the same kind of love that I would want from them.

Brian, that was a lovely piece with deep heartfelt emotions. I think we all feel the same way. I only want others to treat me the same as I treat them. In my world that does not always happen. Good to read you again.
