I dedicate this one to the one that got away. The one that meant the world to me.

If I had all the time I need,

I could get you back through the mean.

I would take you in my arms,

Keep you safe from all the harm.

Take in mine, your hand,

And guide us from land to land.

Pull together my one heart,

That was once all apart.

Re-present this unto you,

With it I hope you will do,

What is right, and not act like a shrew.

Stay with you in heaven,

Flying like a raven.

Yet played like a sport,

Forgotten like a .45 report.

To me, you wont come back,

Stuck I am, in this lonely shack.

I am your past, your future no more,

Visited like a rash, forgotten like the shore.

Love is that elusive snake,

That must be tamed by rake.

There’s something slightly haunting about this poem. It evokes emotion. That’s a good thing. Thanks
