A sinner’s place.

When the forbidden fruit was eaten…I picked it.
When Cain murdered Abel…I handed him the rock.
When the Earth was filled with violence and evil before the Flood…I helped.
When Moses struck the rock twice…I provoked him.
I murmured against him in the wilderness.
When the golden calf was made…I hammered the gold.
When David saw Bathsheba…I looked on approvingly.
Whenever the Israelites went into sin…I showed them the way.
When Jesus was born…I murdered the children.
When Jesus was lashed…I held the whip.
When Jesus was to be freed…I yelled crucify Him.
While He carried the cross…I spat upon Him.
When He was on Golgotha…The hammer and nails were in my hand.
After all my sins, all my murders, all my rebellions…He forgave me.

Guilty of one, guilty of all. It may as well have been me pounding those nails in his hands. But hallelujah for that last line! We are forgiven of ALL!

Our definitions of ’sinner’ and our beliefs are so far apart..yet not that different..otherwise we wouldn’t be friends.
