I Wear a Mask.

Some call it pulling it together
I call it falling apart
Some call it strengthening
I call it a weakened heart

I call it love
Some call it lust
I know I love you
Some think its a crush

You call me fearless
Though fear controls me
It won’t let me go
Yet, you think I’m free

Really I’m weak
Some call it tough
I’m not what I seem
I tend to bluff

Some think its fake
I know we’re real
They throw comments at us
As if we don’t feel

Its killing me now
And has been for a while
I show you a frown
And you see a smile

You think I’m happy
Honestly, I’m hurt
Things look to be getting better
Wake up, they’re worse

I don’t know what I think
I think what I don’t know
Few things I’m sure of
I know what I think of you though.
