My grandmother always said people were like shoes, and every shoe has a mate, therefor so do we. It’s just a matter of finding them.

Ever so softly, I whisper your name.
The very sound of it lingers upon my lips,
As it makes it’s daring escape.
It rolls off my tongue quite easily,
Yet endearing it has become.
To the very core of my being,
I know you are the one.
Such a longing I cannot fathom.
Nor even attempt to deny.
Intrigued by every facet of this rare gem I managed to find.
I shall treasure,
and keep it safe from all harm.
This rarity to behold. It takes my very breath away,
Yet fills the void in my lonely soul.
In my peak of summer with yet so much more to learn.
In search of my one true soul mate to
share what time we have left in this world.
