No startling revelation

No incredible insight

No birds chirping, no glorious sun streaming through my window

Just the annoying beep of my alarm as I groped in the dark for the snooze

No throwing back the covers

Leaping up to start the day

No flowing beautiful gown

No flawless hair or sweet smelling breath

I just simply woke up this morning

And every day I take a breath and open my eyes

I thank the Lord
