Gentle ice…

When winter comes, I’ll sleep under the snow

A coat of ice will keep me warm inside,

My frozen skin will keep me safe at night,

so I can dream in peace of sunny times.

I shall not move,

My eyes I shall not open,

I’ll wait until the ice melts gently

under the rays of warm sunlight.

This is a very good poem. Perhaps just a bit more of a hint of what the subject is besides ice would help.

It’s about finding a way to cope with bad times, while waiting for things to get better. Or I think it is…

This poem has good imagery, and the paradoxical ideas make it interesting. I like it.

    These lines are beautiful.
I’ll wait until the ice melts gently

under the rays of warm sunlight.

    Wow
