Oh! I felt that it was a dream
Because I failed to make it
On our basketball team

That it made me beam
About this joy that made me
Just want to scream

Told me not to bother
Because I didn’t get
To play this sport
And comforted me
In my disappointment

She brought me
To Dairy Queen
As my sinking heart
Was being torn apart

And my surprise
To end up with a treat

That was so scrumptious
