Letters to God cannot be sent! Written by E.B. Wilkes!

I’d like to write an urgent

letter today,

but haven’t a clue

where to send it.

Damn, I wish I knew!

If I had the address

I’m sure the delivery charge

would be too costly;

because, the distance is

beyond any known.

If in deed I could obtain

the address,

I don’t even know what type

of delivery service to employ

in order to get the letter to

where it needs to go;

after all, I don’t think the Heavens

are bound by borders.

The  letter I have in mind

would be to the God unseen

or heard.

I’m not even sure

the type of language

He uses.

I’m not even sure

He exists,

because down here on Earth

man-made Religions of many

have too many twists,

and give the God unseen

or heard,

way too many names,

and adapt to many claims

that this invisible and inaudible being

was said to proclaim.

Earthlings even war for the right

to call the God their very own.

Heck, even if I knew where God lived

and how to send it, and what language suited Him best,

or what man-made Religion he endorses,

I’m not sure if He’d be the right God for me

to send my letter to…Above all, who the heck

would be able to deliver it?

I’d even be afraid to send it

because, I don’t want to get in trouble

with  the delusion-ally envisioned

that made the decision

their God is for them only,

but not for me.

I think I’ll play it safe,

and just pray

in the language

I speak;

and hope like hell,

that there is a God

and if there is

I hope that the right God

understands my questions,

and gives me and inaudible answer.

I know the Lord, God of us all, listens to each prayer that is sincere & from the heart.
