It is ridiculous to say she stole my idea or he copied my idea.

Ideas cannot be stolen or copied.

No one owns an idea.

It is until you write it down on a piece of paper then you own it.

It may be a story or a script or an essay.

Whatever.

You now own it in that form. And that form only.

So don’t go around saying you own an idea.

It’s not possible.
