Who is the enemy? Where do they hide?

Dark-my heart is dark
(It’s not from my sin)
It’s like Nam.
Come up behind me; identify yourself!
(I’ve been traumatized by men.)
The enemy tracks me down
(I keep still and wait. Is it clear?)
I’m wounded!
(Not by a gun, but by men’s hands.)
I’ve survived the battle.
(I don’t feel proud of this war.)
Yet no one understands the darkens I carry.
(I can’t shake it.)
As time goes on the battle seems to fade away.
(The pain heals in layers.)
In the night hours, the crying is intense.
(It feels like yesterday.)
Rape before a bosom buds…..
Is like murdering an innocent creature.
Her heart is robbed and her childhood gone.
Her trauma is carried in a darkened heart for years!
Identify Yourself!

The feelings are so raw here. It just took me down the dark tunnel of yesteryear. Writing is an excellent tool for healing, but while we heal we also must remember to be on guard. Yes, love is based on trust, but the enemy enters through that door also so we must be on guard. Make him earn that trust!

    Take care & God bless.
