Boredom.

Here I sit on my butt, can’t think of nothing to write and don’t care as much.

I’ll put my pen down because my mind is blank,  as I sniff my arms to see if they stank.

I’m so bored I don’t know what to do, I’m kicking my toes in and out of my shoes.

I think that I should write some dribble, write something small to give you a kibble.

Well it’s something to do, to pass the day because I’m bored in a major way.

As you see I’m grasping at straws, so I’ll just stop here and say pardon me all.

(Ok maybe I need to be medicated)  :)

Great piece. I know exactly what you mean.

Misty…This is a cute bit of rhyme…coupled with a mild form of erotica what with smelling yourself and playing footsies…Goes to show you that a good poet/writer can make a success of any subject matter!!! I most definitely voted for this one…

Writer’s block has its sways. Cool down and wait for an idea to come out, Terry.

  • maeraquel on Apr 24, 2010

  • Jimmy Shilaho on Apr 24, 2010

The nasty old writers block perhaps. Keep trying to right your mind.

  • Authoress Terry E. Lyle on Apr 24, 2010

I apologize for having writers block, because I pulled that dribble out of my socks, I reached real low to find something to say…so now I need to say goodbye and be on my way. :)

  • Ruby Hawk on Apr 24, 2010

LOL, we all have those days, I think I had one today. I said I was not getting on the computer today, but it’s raining and here I am at the computer without a thought in my head of what to write.

  • xoxo on Apr 24, 2010

Mental block… specially when you wanted to ‘really’ write is a pain. What the heck…. We’ll just have to take a rest and we’ll be right on the track again. Nice one!

  • Emma Green on Apr 26, 2010

I stumbled across you reading other friends pieces, boy I am glad that I did. What a very humourous piece, shouting out the truth that every writer experiences from time-to-time, writer’s block!

  • nutmegeyes on Apr 26, 2010

Checking in again to see what you\’re doing Ms. Authoress and I enjoyed re-reading this the second time around. I like the part about seeing if your arms stank, you\’re a funny lady. :)
