Have you ever read Emily Dickeinson’s "Hope Is a Thing With Feathers"? That piece inspired this poem.

If hope is a bird, it has found no rest.

Inside of my heart, it has built no nest.

Nor has it past by the window of my spirit,

Or chipped so loud, so that I may hear it.

If hope is a bird, it has a broken wing,

And nevermore to me shall she sing.
