The different stages of my life.

If I had my time again
I’d do it all just the same
The up’s and down’s that life may bring
I wouldn’t change a single thing.
I wouldn’t want to be young again
My learning curve was an emotional drain
There was no warmth around me then
Only the sanctury in my back garden den.
Trusting too easily in my teens
Thinking it was possible to live your dreams
Nothing seemed impossible then
It was never a if but always a when.
In my twenties I suddenly knew
The dreams I had wouldn’t come true
The next thought I had at the time was good
I’d have the best time I possibly could.
Maybe that’s the one thing I do regret
Taking the drugs and the people I met
But what is life without experience and mistakes
You know the genuine and spot the fakes.
Thirties was a woman who turned me around
Showed me the love i’d never found
If thing’s had been different in my life
I’d never of met my beautiful wife.
And the reason i wouldn’t change a thing
My wife, my kids the happiness they bring
I fight myself not to be like them
The people I avoided in my back garden den.
