This poem is written in dedication to Pastor Gary. Even though I may not agree with his style of preaching the Gospel, I do commend him for daring to speak the Truth.

I offend you?

But my faith was never

Meant to be

TOLERABLE

In any Way

But only the Truth

And advantageous Life.

My faith speaks emphatically of

This determinate path to salvation;

Entrance into the

Holiest of holies

After your final breath

Releases your soul

From your decaying mortal shell.

For my GOD

Illuminated His Spirit,

Transfiguring into human flesh.

Blessing the cursed.

Cursing the earthly blessed

Yet willingly ascending

For all

Upon an altar – THE CROSS –

As the perfect sacrifice unto Himself.

His brow pierced with Thorns,

Hands and Feet spiked hard

Against splintered wood,

His bare body mangled

With shards of bone.

Defeating eternal Dead

His last words gasping forgiveness.

His heart bursting

Spewing blood and water pure.

Through Christ’s blood

Lies the ONLY avenue to heaven;

NOT through Buddha,

NOT through Gandhi,

NOT through Muhammad

     or the like.

I am not sorry

That I offend you

For this faith

Is the ONLY faith

That saves.

And I would much rather

Offend you

Than with TOLERANCE

Eternally condemn you.
