This poem is about walking a mile in someone else shoes, and at the end asking if your thankful for what you have, and also if you would try harder to understand others.

If I walked a mile in your shoes

and you walked a mile in mine

what things would we see?

what secrets would we find?

If i walked a mile in your shoes

and you walked a mile in mine

would you see things my way?

would you understand me at the end of the day

If I walked a mile in your shoes

and you walked a mile in mine

could i think your thoughts?

could I see what your money bought?

If I walked a mile in your shoes

and you walked a mile in mine

would it make us different when we were done?

could we say that we had fun?

If i walked a mile in your shoes

and you walked a mile in mine

would we be slower to judge?

or would our stubborn ways even budge?

If I walked a mile in your shoes

and you walked a mile in mine

would we try a little harder to understand people or not?

would we be thankful for what we ourselves have got?
