It’s a children’s book, now I just have to illustrate it.

What would I do if I were a puppy?

Well I’d run, and I’d tumble, and I’d play.

I’d jump for joy, bark out loud, and chase butterflies all day.

I’d leap into puddles while playing with frogs.

Frolic through fields, and take naps on logs.

With my nose to the ground, I’d pick up the trail,

and chase the fine fellow that brings us our mail.

So very curious with so much to see,

the most fantabulously stupendous puppy I’d be.

At night, I’d sleep out back under a tree

in a three story dog house built just for me.

But my Mom won’t allow it.

She says “You won’t get your rest.

You’ll be sleepy for school,

and you won’t do your best.”

So she tucks me in tenderly and tells me a tale

of a courageous young pup and the ship that he sailed.

Then it’s “Good night, sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite.”

and off with the lights.

So with a great big grin, I bundle up in bed.

I bark, jump, and run

as puppy dreams dance through my head.
