This is a poem I wrote one day of how I would run my presidency if I were actually President.
A few months ago, I had a dream of becoming President
I would like to make a difference, to say I cannot is irrevelant
I ask myself, why? when I zero knowledge of politics
because I see a difference needs to happen before we’re no longer in His providence
I’ve probably spent, too many hours watching CNN
for me to doubt that we as a people cannot get out of this backwards spin we’re in
I walk outside, wherever I go, seems places are filled with sin
then I thought, well, maybe someone just needs to dream again
like Dr. King did, and someday, a change will come
he may have lost the battle, but in the end the war was won
It’s a shame he lost his life, but us winning was the outcome
he could’ve said, “I’m through, done” but change, we’d be without none
so, what I’ve learned is that, if you want anything, for it, you must fight
especially when all is wrong and you’re trying to make it right
It’s like, if it’s darkness around you, then you should be the light
be the clear skies when it’s cloudy, the daylight in the night
I’m not pleased with this world for what it has became
taking God out of schools says, we’re spiritually insane
so mundane, are the people’s thoughts, we really need a change
a fire of desire and a spark to ignite the flame
If I were President-we’d praise God, not man
If I were President-all power would remain in His hands
If I were President-there’d be peace, not war on foreign sand
If I were President-God, not me would heal this entire land
If I, were President.
